Charlie Morningstar (voice)
Charlie Morningstar, also known as Charlotte 'Charlie' Morningstar, is the princess of Hell and the founder of the Hazbin Hotel, an establishment aimed at rehabilitating demons to ascend to Heaven. She is the daughter of Lucifer and Lilith Morningstar. Charlie is characterized by her unwavering optimism and determination to find redemption for Hell's denizens. She is in a romantic relationship with Vaggie, the hotel's manager. In the 2019 pilot, Charlie was voiced by Jill Harris, with Elsie Lovelock providing her singing voice. In the 2024 series, Erika Henningsen took over the role.

Vaggie (voice)
Vaggie is the manager of the Hazbin Hotel and serves as Charlie Morningstar's girlfriend. She is highly supportive of Charlie's mission but often exhibits a quick temper, especially when dealing with the antics of other hotel residents. Vaggie strives to maintain the hotel's image and keep operations running smoothly. She was once an Exorcist angel but was betrayed and stripped of her position after sparing a defenseless demon child. Vaggie was saved by Charlie, who fell in love with her. In the series, Vaggie is voiced by Stephanie Beatriz.

Angel Dust (voice)
Angel Dust, whose real name is Anthony, is a flamboyant spider demon and the first volunteer for Charlie's rehabilitation program at the Hazbin Hotel. He is a former adult film star known for his sharp tongue and carefree attitude, often causing mischief within the hotel. Despite his insolence, Angel Dust genuinely cares about his friends and strives to better himself, even if he is not keen on showing his softer side. He is in a toxic relationship with his abusive boss, Valentino. In the series, Angel Dust is voiced by Blake Roman.

Alastor (voice)
Alastor, also known as 'The Radio Demon,' is an eccentric and powerful overlord of Hell. He was once a radio broadcaster in the 1930s and now possesses deer-like characteristics. Alastor's voice carries a radio static effect, complete with sound effects and theme music. His charming and elegant exterior hides a twisted and sadistic mindset. He offers his powers to Charlie to help her maintain her goal of running the hotel, but only for his own amusement, as he enjoys watching demons struggle to redeem themselves only to fall from grace. He has rivalries with many characters, including Vox, Sir Pentious, and Lucifer. In the 2019 pilot, Alastor was voiced by Edward Bosco, with Gabriel C. Brown providing his singing voice. In the 2024 series, Amir Talai took over the role.

Husk (voice)
Husk, also known as Husker, is an ill-tempered, gambling, alcoholic cat demon who serves as the bartender of the Hazbin Hotel. Alastor summons him to the hotel in the series pilot. It is revealed that he was once an overlord of Hell, but due to his gambling addiction, he was forced to sell his soul to Alastor in order to keep his powers, while losing his status. Despite being an irritable drunk, Husk is shown to be wise and empathetic, especially in his friendship with Angel Dust. In the series, Husk is voiced by Keith David.

Niffty (voice)
Niffty is a small, hyperactive cyclops demon from the 1950s who is obsessed with cleanliness and men. She is summoned by Alastor to serve as the hotel's maid in the series pilot. Despite her macabre and often creepy mannerisms, she usually means no harm. However, in 'The Show Must Go On,' she delivers the killing blow to Adam by stabbing him in the back. In the series, Niffty is voiced by Kimiko Glenn.

Sir Pentious (voice)
Sir Pentious is an anthropomorphic cobra demon from the Victorian era and a skillful inventor. He was recruited by Vox to spy on Alastor in the hotel but was ungraciously fired after being found out. Charlie offers him a second chance, and he chooses to become an official patron at the hotel, touched by Charlie's compassion. In the series, Sir Pentious is voiced by Alex Brightman.
