Cast & Chracters

Harry Vanderspeigle
An extraterrestrial being who crash-lands near Patience, Colorado, and assumes the identity of Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle after killing him. Sent to Earth to eradicate humanity, Harry begins to question his mission as he develops human emotions and relationships. He possesses superhuman abilities, including strength, agility, shapeshifting, and memory manipulation. His understanding of human behavior is often skewed due to his reliance on television shows like 'Law & Order' for learning social norms.

Asta Twelvetrees
A nurse at the Patience health clinic and a member of the Ute Native American tribe. Asta is compassionate and strong-willed, having overcome an abusive relationship in her past. She is the first person, after Max, to discover Harry's true identity and becomes his confidante, guiding him through human interactions and emotions. Asta has a complex relationship with her estranged daughter, Jay, whom she gave up for adoption during her teenage years.

Mike Thompson
The sheriff of Patience, who prefers to be called 'Big Black.' Mike is authoritative and often masks his insecurities by exerting control over situations. His career in Washington, D.C., ended following the death of his partner, leading him to relocate to Patience. He has a strained relationship with his deputy, Liv Baker, often overlooking her insights, though he gradually comes to appreciate her contributions.

D'arcy Bloom
The owner and bartender of the town's pub, The 59, and Asta's best friend. D'arcy was once an Olympic-level skier, but her career was cut short due to a severe injury. She returned to Patience, where she now tends bar and occasionally makes impulsive decisions. D'arcy is known for her sharp wit and adventurous spirit, often providing comic relief while dealing with her own personal struggles.

Ben Hawthorne
The young and affable mayor of Patience. Ben is eager to please and often finds himself overshadowed by his assertive wife, Kate. He has a history with D'arcy, having dated her during their school years, and their lingering chemistry occasionally surfaces. Ben is a hobbyist candlemaker, though his passion is not widely recognized or appreciated.

Max Hawthorne
The son of Mayor Ben Hawthorne and his wife, Kate. Max is unique in that he possesses the rare ability to see through Harry's human disguise, perceiving his true alien form. This leads to a contentious relationship between the two, with Max determined to expose Harry's identity and Harry attempting to neutralize the perceived threat. Despite their adversarial interactions, a mutual respect develops over time.

Liv Baker
The diligent and observant deputy sheriff of Patience. Liv is often underappreciated and overlooked by Sheriff Mike, despite her keen insights and dedication to her work. She has a longstanding fascination with extraterrestrial phenomena, stemming from a childhood experience of witnessing what she believed to be a UFO. Liv's persistence and attention to detail make her a valuable asset to the town's law enforcement.
